My husband and I retired to the farm in Edgewood, Texas, after spending most of our lives on the other side of the world, following the direction of our professions. Now, we follow our passions. I learn to look for the natural beauty that surrounds us in East Texas and try to record it through the lens of my camera. In doing that, I learn to appreciate and greatly enjoy the country living.
This site captures my photography collections of nature, countryscape, and way of life mostly in the area where we live, in Upper East Texas. Some of my work are currently displayed at Art Gallery 211, in Athens, Tx.
I self-published three coffee-table photo books, “On the Edge of the Piney Woods” and “My Northeast Texas” in 2012 and “The Dancing Trees” in 2013. In 2014, I worked on a commemoration book for the 135th anniversary of Cheatham Memorial United Methodist Church, in Edgewood, Texas, entitled “A Legacy of Faith“. Read more about them in the BOOKS section.
I have been participating in local events to showcase my work to the public, such as the annual Edgewood Heritage Festival (every 2nd Saturday of November) in downtown Edgewood, Tx., annual Ben Wheeler Book Fair (usually before Thanksgiving) Ben Wheeler, Tx., themed art shows in Art Gallery 211, Athens, Tx (all year round).
